Summary

This article provides a link to a sample setup that will install the latest version of Ikernel.exe onto your system. This is helpful in debugging a lot of different setup initialization problems that may occur when trying to run an InstallShield 6 setup. After running this setup, the Ikernel.exe that is installed on your system will be updated to the latest version.

Discussion

First go to your "\Common Files\InstallShield\engine\6\Intel 32" directory, where is usually your "C:\Program Files" directory, and delete the "Intel 32" directory that contains the IKernel.exe file. Then either download the single exe or run the one click install and run the Ikernel update install.
